Professor Dr. Ehsan Hashemi

Biography

Ehsan Hashemi is a Research Assistant Professor specializing in Mechanical Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on estimation and diagnosis in cyber-physical systems, distributed optimization, predictive control, and improving the reliability and performance of automotive systems and robotics. He has published several papers on topics such as adaptive reference inverse optimal control in natural walking musculoskeletal models and cooperative vehicle speed fault diagnosis. He holds a Doctorate degree in Mechanical Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from AmirKabir University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. Ehsan has also taught courses related to special topics in mechatronics in 2021. He is currently involved in guiding graduate students and engaging in various research projects.
