Dr. Ehsan Samei

Biography

Ehsan Samei is a Persian-American medical physicist and Professor at Duke University, where he holds the Reed Martha Rice Distinguished Professorship in Radiology. He specializes in medical physics, biomedical engineering, physics, and electrical computer engineering. As Chief Imaging Physicist at Duke University Health System and Director of the Carl E Ravin Advanced Imaging Laboratories, Dr. Samei has made significant contributions to scientific research and clinical practice in medical imaging. His expertise encompasses x-ray imaging, imaging models, simulation methods, and experimental techniques for medical image formation and perception. A prolific scholar, he has authored 1400 scientific publications, many of which are refereed journal articles and conference presentations.
