Biography

Eilyan Bitar is currently an Associate Professor and Croll Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellow in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. Prior to joining Cornell in 2012, Bitar spent a year as a joint Postdoctoral Fellow at the California Institute of Technology and UC Berkeley. In 2016, he was invited as a Visiting Scientist at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing as part of the research program on Algorithms Under Uncertainty. At Cornell, Bitar serves as a Faculty-in-Residence at Hu Shih Hall. He is a native of California and received his B.S. and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 2006 and 2011, respectively.
