Dr. Eitan Geva

Biography

Eitan Geva is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Michigan. He received his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research focuses on modern computational chemistry, aiming to provide an atomistically detailed dynamical description of fundamental chemical processes. His work incorporates both electronic structure calculations and molecular dynamics simulations to investigate complex chemical systems. Geva's research includes vibrational electronic relaxation, proton electron transfer reactions, and developing mixed quantum-classical methods for simulating quantum dynamics in systems with up to hundreds of atoms. His lab emphasizes collaborations with experimental groups to model and analyze time-resolved electronic and vibrational spectra, which probe molecular dynamics in complex condensed phase systems.
