Biography

Elaine de Guise obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1994 from Laval University, Quebec, and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in neuropsychology from the University of Montreal in 1999. She worked as a clinical neuropsychologist in the traumatic brain injury program at the McGill University Health Centre - Montreal General Hospital from 1998 to 2012. Since 2012, she has been a professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Montreal. She is also an associate professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University and a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR) and at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). Her research program focuses on understanding the cognitive psychological consequences of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in adults, employing various methodological approaches. Specifically, her work involves developing models to predict the future development of TBI patients and neuropsychological tools for evaluating TBI clients and interventions for early rehabilitation programs.
