Professor Dr. Elena Baranova

Biography

Elena Baranova is a Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa, holding dual Ph.D. degrees from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland and Dnipropetrovs'k in Ukraine. She has an M.Sc. from Dnipropetrovs'k as well. Her research focuses on critical areas within Electrochemistry, including electrocatalysis, energy conversion, electrochemical promotion, and heterogeneous catalysis. Professor Baranova is committed to advancing knowledge in these fields, fostering innovation, and enhancing the understanding of complex electrochemical systems. With her background in engineering and extensive research experience, she contributes significantly to academic development, mentoring, and guiding students in their educational pathways.
