Dr. Elena Cirkovic

Biography

Elena Cirkovic is a Postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University specializing in international law, outer space law, and environmental law. She holds a PhD from Osgoode Hall Law School and has conducted significant research in transnational corporate governance and legal theory. Prior to her current position, she served as an Assistant Professor of International Law at Bilkent University and Bogazici University, where she taught various courses related to political science and law. Cirkovic is also involved in ongoing research in service design and bioart, reflecting her diverse academic interests. She has contributed to various projects, including the ANTARES project focused on sustainability and the Earth system within the context of outer space law. Her academic journey has taken her to prestigious institutions such as Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, where she earned her MA in Transitional Justice. Through her work, Cirkovic aims to address complex legal issues and their implications on indigenous peoples' rights and climate change.
