Biography

Elena Namli is a Professor of Ethics in the Faculty of Theology at Uppsala University. Her research interests include ethical theory, political ethics, and theological ethics. Namli's current book project, titled 'Legal Positivism, Politics, Critical Ethics', critiques the prevalent view of legal positivism by exploring its relationship with law, morality, and politics. She also founded a two-year Master’s Program in Human Rights at the Faculty of Theology and teaches a course on Human Rights and Contemporary Racism. Fluent in Russian, Swedish, and English, Namli has contributed to various publications, including 'Human Rights Ethics, Politics, Law' (2014) and 'Future(s) Revolution Reformation' (2019).
