Biography

Eleonora Pantano is an Associate Professor at the University of Bristol, specializing in Retail Marketing Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology Programming Artificial Intelligence from the University of Calabria, along with an M.Eng in Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Supporting Learning from Middlesex University London. As a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, her academic journey includes positions as a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University and as an Associate Research Fellow at the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Eleonora's research focuses on the development of new retail technologies to improve customer solutions and management strategies, emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence, emotional analytics, and machine learning algorithms. Her findings have been published in numerous books and international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Service Research and the Annals of Tourism Research. Her impactful research has gained international attention, including recognition by the World Health Organization for her papers related to the COVID-19 Global literature database. Eleonora actively supervises PhD students in these areas, particularly those exploring the interplay between AI applications and consumer experience in retail management.
