Biography

After medical training (MD) in pediatric immunology under Professor Alain Fischer in Paris, I completed my PhD in fundamental research on Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome with Dr. Vainchenker in Villejuif, France. My research focuses on developing NOD/SCID humanized mice to study the normal and pathological human immune system. Recruited as the head of the pediatric immunology and rheumatology service and as a researcher at CHU Sainte-Justine, my goal is to continue my research projects on humanized NOD/SCID mice, a promising technology that offers multiple research potentials. My laboratory's collaboration with the CORD blood immunology research group aims to enhance immune reconstitution after cord blood transplants and to develop animal models that simulate human dysimmune pathologies, like nephrosis. We also work on human leukemia mouse models to develop immunotherapy techniques.
