Elina Zuniga received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Scripps Research Institute and held post-doctoral fellowships from the Antorchas Foundation and the Pew Charitable Trust. Her research focuses on the immune system's response to infections, particularly how innate and adaptive immune responses interact with viral infections to uncover fundamental principles of antiviral immunity and immune regulation, which is crucial for developing strategies to prevent and treat infectious diseases as well as immune-related disorders.
