Eline van Oosten is a PhD researcher in the ANIMAPOLIS project at the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Her research focuses on the metabolic relations between rats, humans, and waste to understand how these interactions co-produce urban inequalities. With a background in anthropology and science and technology studies (STS), Eline employs multispecies ethnography to explore the nexus of urban political ecology.
