Elisa Segnini holds an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of Bologna and a PhD from the Centre for Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto. She joined the University of Glasgow in 2017 after holding appointments in Italian Comparative Literature at Dalhousie University and Western University of British Columbia. She has published works on fin-de-siècle literature and the interplay of thought during that period, including her monograph 'Fragments, Genius Madness: Masks and Mask-Making in Fin-de-Siècle Imagination'. Her co-edited volume 'D’Annunzio and World Literature: Multilingualism, Translation, Reception' was published by Edinburgh University Press in 2023. She is also involved in interdisciplinary projects related to constructed languages, highlighting her dynamic engagement with contemporary debates in comparative literature.
