Biography

Elisa Zattarin is a Postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University, specializing in the development of antibacterial wound dressings aimed at curing infected non-healing wounds as part of the HEALiX project. She started her academic journey as a PhD student at the Laboratory of Molecular Materials under the supervision of Professor Daniel Aili in March 2020. Prior to this, Zattarin earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, in 2017, where her specialization focused on Bionanotechnology and Biomechanics. Her master's thesis was titled "Novel hydrogels from multivinyl polymerization for biomedical applications". Additionally, she has been involved with a research group led by Professor Wenxin Wang at the Charles Institute of Dermatology, School of Medicine and Medical Science, University College Dublin, Ireland. Before her current position, Zattarin worked at Cellink AB, a biotechnology company based in Gothenburg, Sweden, which is known for its focus on 3D bioprinting.
