Biography

Elisabeth Bailey teaches undergraduate nursing programs at the University of British Columbia and holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice. With over a decade of experience as a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she specializes in psychopharmacology and treatment for anxiety, depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Bailey is also a founding member of the Leadership, Excellence, Research Nursing Education (LEaRN) Lab at UBC. She has published a range of educational insights, emphasizing the importance of community and mutual respect in facilitating deeper learning and resilience among students and colleagues alike. Her teaching philosophy prioritizes connection and engagement, advocating for interactive and active learning strategies.
