Biography

Elisabeth Klint is a Postdoc researcher at Linköping University, specializing in image signal processing with the objective of enhancing understanding of brain functions to ultimately contribute to healthcare improvements. Her research focuses on brain tumours and deep brain stimulation (DBS), exploring multimodal guidance for neurosurgery that integrates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with optical techniques such as laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) and Raman spectroscopy. In her projects, she collaborates closely with neurosurgeons, pathologists, and engineers, playing a critical role in data collection and analysis, which encompasses both statistical methods and image signal processing. Klint coordinates expertise from multiple disciplines to develop innovative methods that support localization during neurosurgery. She also serves as a Teaching Supervisor for the Engineering Project (TFYY51) and as a PhD student representative for the Local Interaction Group (LSG) as well as the IMT representative at Linköping University.
