I am a PhD and anthropologist with a particular interest in vulnerable groups and social inequality. I am affiliated with the Research Unit for General Practice in Region Zealand and Copenhagen. My current research includes topics such as palliative care in general practice, exploring timely palliative care in primary sectors, and how parents' assessment of their own childhood relates to their children's health. This project builds on findings from my PhD project, examining the significance and meaning of social relationships among socioeconomically disadvantaged families with a chronically ill parent. Data consists of survey data from the Lolland-Falster Study (LOFUS) and register data from national Danish registers. Additionally, I investigate the impact of children's chronic illnesses on family life and the extent of parental compensatory efforts and risk minimization through qualitative interviews. I teach medical students in their first semester about early patient contact at the University of Copenhagen. My primary research fields encompass children and families, everyday life, multimorbidity, social inequality, general practice, cross-sectoral collaboration, and both qualitative and quantitative methods.
