Dr. Eliza Xue

Biography

Eliza Xue is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Brunswick, having joined the Faculty of Management in 2023. She is part of the Business Administration team, where she teaches courses in Business Law at the BBA level and Corporate Governance Law at the MBA level. Prior to her appointment at UNB, Eliza taught Business Company Law for ten years at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she was recognized with a Teaching Excellence award in 2020. Her research interests are centered on business law, company law, rules of equity, and the cultural aspects of legal history. Eliza is an active member of several professional associations, including the Society of Legal Scholars, the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, and the Canadian Association of Law Teachers. She completed her doctorate in law focusing on the development of equitable rules and their application during Lord Denning's era in England, and also holds an LLM in Commercial and Company Law from King's College London and a Juris Doctor from Hong Kong City University. Eliza has contributed to various academic journals and conferences, presenting her work on diverse legal dilemmas and the intersections of multiculturalism within the Canadian legal landscape.
