Dr. Elizabeth Adamson

Biography

Elizabeth Adamson is a Research Fellow at the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), holding a PhD in Social Policy from UNSW, an MSc in Policy Studies from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University in Canada. Her research focuses on comparative family policy, early childhood education and care (ECEC), and the political economy of social policies. She has been actively involved in projects addressing the challenges faced by disadvantaged children and young people, particularly focusing on young carers and the impacts of family taxation systems and welfare benefits on child poverty. Elizabeth's expertise spans the intricacies of formal and informal care, gender issues, and migration as they relate to care policy, contributing valuable insights to the field of social policy.
