Dr. Elizabeth Dubois

Biography

Elizabeth Dubois is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa, specializing in communication. Her research focuses on the political uses of digital media, media manipulation, and citizen engagement, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence. She leads a multidisciplinary team that includes political scientists, computer scientists, and communication scholars, and collaborates internationally with non-profits, technology companies, journalists, and academics. Dubois is active in public writing, with contributions to Maclean's, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Policy Options, and Conversation, along with a notable feature in Salon. She is involved in teaching courses such as Political Communication and Quantitative Research Methods, as well as Digital Social Research Methods.
