Elizabeth's work explores the relationships among social movements, political parties, and political representation. She is currently the Principal Investigator of a four-year ESRC funded comparative project with Stefanie Reher titled 'Disability Political Parties.' Her work has previously received funding from the ESRC, British Academy, Government Equalities Office, and ISRF. In 2022, she was awarded the Political Studies Association Joni Lovenduski Prize. Elizabeth is an author of several books, including the co-edited volume 'Confronting Privileges: Intersectionality Feminist Queer Movements' with Eléonore Lépinard (2020) and her latest book, 'Disability Political Representation' co-authored with Stefanie Reher, which will be published by Oxford University Press in 2024. She has published over 30 articles in a wide range of international peer-reviewed journals. Moreover, Elizabeth is a co-founding editor of the European Journal of Politics and Gender, serves as Editor in Chief for Politics, and is the convenor for the ECPR's group on Politics and Gender, as well as the PSA's Women in Politics Group. She is the Co-Director of the Gender Inequalities Centre (GAIN).
