Professor Elizabeth Gardiner works at the John Curtin School of Medical Research at ANU in Canberra, Australia. She is the Scientific Head of the National Platelet Referral Research Centre at ANU Canberra Hospital and has published 143 peer-reviewed research papers, commentaries, and reviews focusing on platelet biochemistry and function, particularly in relation to thrombosis and bleeding in patients. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was awarded the Esteemed Career Award by the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis in 2022 and is a Fellow of the American Heart Association slated for 2024. She has held executive roles in the Australian Vascular Biology Society and the National Association of Research Fellows (NARF).
