Biography

Elizabeth Judge is a Full Professor in the Common Law Section at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, where she also coordinates the Graduate Studies in Law Technology program. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Master of Laws, and a Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature from Dalhousie University. Prior to joining the Faculty of Law, she practiced law in Washington D.C., and served as a law clerk to the Honourable Mr. Justice Ian Binnie at the Supreme Court of Canada. Her research interests lie at the intersection of law and literature, and she is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, admitted to the Bars of California and the District of Columbia, as well as the United States Tax Court. Judge is actively involved in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, supervising graduate students and participating in various committees. She is committed to fostering a supportive educational environment and has a keen interest in equity, diversity, and inclusiveness within the academic community.
