Elizabeth McCracken is a Professor and the James Michener Endowed Chair at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. She earned her M.F.A. from the University of Iowa in 1990. McCracken is an accomplished author of story collections, including 'Here’s Hat What’s Hurry' (Turtle Bay, 1993) and 'Thunderstruck' (The Dial Press, 2014), the latter of which won the Story Prize.
