Dr. Pavlisko holds an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Clemson University and received her M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina. Her primary research focuses on malignant mesothelioma and chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD), and she has published over 65 manuscripts and 6 book chapters on occupational diseases of the lungs and pleura. She has been involved in various clinical trials and is an active member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr. Pavlisko serves as the Medical Director of the Division of Anatomic Pathology Digital Analytics (DAPDA) Laboratory at Duke, focusing on Histology, Immunohistochemistry, and FISH.
