Elizabeth Richmond-Garza is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Texas at Austin. She served as the Director of UT’s Program in Comparative Literature from 2001 to 2022 and was the chief administrative officer of the American Comparative Literature Association from 2002 to 2011. Richmond-Garza is an affiliated faculty member in the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, and the Program in Human Dimensions of Organizations. Richmond-Garza's multimedia approach to teaching has been recognized with numerous awards at the University of Texas at Austin and throughout the state of Texas.
