Biography

Elizabeth Rohlich is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Program Director for the Adult/Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS) program at the University of Texas School of Nursing. With 17 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Advanced Practice Nurse, she has developed expertise in trauma care and chronic disease management. Rohlich holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, obtained in 1998, and later joined the Peace Corps as a volunteer in Bolivia, focusing on community public health and small business development. She graduated from the Alternate Entry Master’s program in nursing from UT Austin, becoming a certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2009. Currently, she also works at Dell Seton Medical Center in the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery unit. Rohlich is passionate about teaching future advanced practice nurses and aims to improve patient outcomes by identifying patients at risk of post-traumatic stress and depression, providing them with resources during their discharge process.
