Biography

Elizabeth Stringer is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dalhousie University and a Pediatric Rheumatologist at IWK Health Centre. Her research interests focus on pediatric rheumatology including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, knowledge translation, and the transition of care from pediatric to adult healthcare systems. Dr. Stringer is actively involved in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has published several studies on the outcomes of juvenile idiopathic arthritis and the management of childhood rheumatological conditions. Dr. Stringer also holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto, enhancing her research capabilities in translating complex medical data into clinical practice. Currently, she serves as the Ombudsperson for the Dalhousie Pediatrics Residency Program and has been involved in numerous committees and initiatives aimed at improving pediatric rheumatology care in Canada.
