Elke Mitchell is a Senior Research Fellow at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney, with a research focus on global health, spanning disciplines such as anthropology, public health, Pacific studies, and gender studies. Over her career, Elke has published in numerous high-profile international journals and has received various academic awards, including the ARC Discovery Early Career Research Award and the Kirby Institute Emerging Investigator Award. She is a member of the Australian Anthropological Society, the Australian Association for Pacific Studies, and the Association for Social Anthropology in Oceania, and holds an honorary position as a Senior Fellow at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health.
