Dr. Ellen Braae

Biography

Ellen Braae is a professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture Planning at the University of Copenhagen. She is the head of a research group focused on Landscape Architecture Urbanism and has extensive experience as both an architect and landscape architect. Ellen received her PhD from Aarhus School of Architecture in 2003, specializing in landscape architecture, urbanism, and cultural heritage. Her research interests encompass regenerative urban landscape development, cultural heritage, aesthetic theory, and strategic urban design. Braae has led numerous research projects funded by various foundations and has been involved in the development of significant publications and research platforms. She is a recognized lecturer, having taught at several prominent universities across Europe and the USA. Ellen's professional experience includes positions as a visiting professor at respected institutions and a deep commitment to supervising PhD students and mentoring young researchers in her field.
