Biography

Ellen D. Katz is the Ralph W. Aigler Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School and serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Programming. Her teaching and scholarship primarily focus on election law, civil rights remedies, and equal protection. Katz's research addresses critical questions regarding minority representation and political equality, as well as the role of institutions in crafting and implementing anti-discrimination laws.
