Ellen Moors is a full professor at Utrecht University leading the Department of Innovation Sustainability at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development. Moors has published over 80 articles and book chapters on topics including socio-technical innovations, health innovations, user-producer interactions, and innovation-regulation issues in transition sustainability journals such as Research Policy and Environmental Innovation and Societal Transition, as well as prominent health and life sciences journals like Nature Biotechnology and Trends in Biotechnology. She co-edited the book 'Emerging Technologies Diagnosing Alzheimer's Disease'. Additionally, she teaches on societal challenges in innovation theories and sustainable health medical technologies in the bachelor program of Natural Sciences and Innovation Management and the master program of Innovation Sciences. Moors is a member of the Dutch Advisory Board for Science, Technology and Innovation (AWTI) and serves on the Committee for Genetic Modification (COGEM), alongside being a board member of Future Food Utrecht.
