Biography

Elliot Tucker-Drob is a courtesy professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Dell Medical School and a professor in the Department of Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin College of Liberal Arts. His research program aims to clarify the biological, psychological, and social mechanisms that lead to person-to-person variation in cognitive development, cognitive aging, and the risk of psychiatric disease, including dementia. His work combines multivariate longitudinal statistical methods with approaches from human genetics, neuroscience, psychiatric epidemiology, psychology, and demography. Tucker-Drob's research has been funded by several prestigious institutions, including the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the National Institute on Aging, and the National Institute of Mental Health, as well as the Jacobs Foundation.
