Biography

Elly Stolk is a Professor of Measurement Valuation Health at the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She has been a dedicated researcher and academic, earning her PhD from ESHPM in 2005. Stolk previously served as an assistant professor from 2008 to 2016 and co-directed the Erasmus Choice Modelling Centre in 2014. In addition to her academic roles, she has been deeply involved with the EuroQol Research Foundation, where she joined part-time in 2013 and transitioned to a full-time position in 2016, eventually being appointed as the Scientific Director in 2021. Her research primarily focuses on quality of life assessment using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and health preference methods, including Time Trade-Off (TTO) and Discrete Choice Experiments (DCE). Stolk has published extensively, with 100 publications to her name, and serves as an associate editor for the journal Value Health and as a member of the editorial board for Pharmacoeconomics.
