Biography

Elmar Eisemann is a professor at Delft University of Technology, leading the Computer Graphics Visualization Group. He was previously an associate professor at Telecom ParisTech until 2012 and a senior scientist heading the research group Cluster Excellence at Saarland University / MPI Informatik until 2009. Eisemann studied at École Normale Supérieure Paris from 2001 to 2005 and received his PhD from the University of Grenoble at INRIA Rhône-Alpes between 2005 and 2008. He has co-authored a book titled 'Real-time Shadows' and has been actively involved in various committees and editorial boards. He served as a local organizer for EGSR 2010, 2012, and HPG 2012, and was a paper chair for HPG 2015. His work has earned him several distinctions, including the Eurographics Young Researcher Award in 2011.
