Biography

I am a professor in the Department of Psycho-pedagogy and Andragogy at the Faculty of Education, specializing in adaptation and learning difficulties since 2019. Trained as a secondary school teacher in adaptation, I previously worked in specialized environments with young people facing adaptation challenges, as well as in regular school settings within the employment-focused training program. I completed a doctoral thesis in public administration on the development of intersectoral collaboration between the educational sector and social services surrounding the academic success of youth placed in rehabilitation centers under the Youth Protection Act. I am currently a regular researcher at the Institut universitaire Jeunes en difficulté at CIUSSS du Centre-sud de l'île-de-Montréal, the PÉRISCOPE network platform for exchange, research, and intervention on educational perseverance and success, and a member of the REGARDS team associated with the research center for knowledge sharing interactions. I am involved in the Bachelor's degree in teaching for adaptation where I teach courses on preventing educational issues such as school dropout and positively supporting adolescents' development in school settings, along with collaborative practices among schools, families, and the community.
