Biography

Elsa Echeverri is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Dentistry in Houston, where she has mentored new generations of pediatric dentists for over 30 years. After completing her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University in 1988, she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Zulia in Venezuela in 1982. A board-certified pediatric dentist, she is a Diplomate Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as Vice-President of Echeverri Dental Center in Houston. Dr. Echeverri specializes in caring for pediatric patients, including those with special needs, and has extensive experience in Phase 1 orthodontic treatment and the administration of sedation and general anesthesia. She holds hospital privileges at Texas Children’s Hospital and Memorial Hermann and has lectured nationally and internationally on topics related to pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. She is a Fellow of the American Orthodontic Society and is committed to providing quality care to her patients.
