Biography

Dr. Elsa FENG earned her PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, specializing in energy storage system modeling and control for renewable energy systems and electric vehicles. During her PhD, she participated in electric vehicle research at TUM CREATE, a joint program between Nanyang Technological University and the Technical University of Munich funded by the National Research Foundation of Singapore. Currently an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, her research focuses on microgrid and multi-energy system operation planning, data analytics in power systems, and data-driven modeling and control of energy storage systems. She has held positions including Assistant Professor from 2017 to 2024 and has contributed to various professional initiatives and research projects related to energy systems. Dr. FENG's efforts in academia and industry have been recognized with several awards, including the IET Premium Award and IEEE Transactions Power Systems Outstanding Reviewers award.
