Biography

Elvira Mambetisaeva is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment at University College London. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medical Biochemistry from the Pirogov Medical School in Moscow, where she studied from 1982 to 1988. She completed her PhD in Medical Biochemistry at the Research Institute of Experimental Cardiology in Moscow from 1991 to 1994. Since October 2015, she has been employed at University College London, where she has progressed through various academic roles including Teaching Fellow and Senior Teaching Fellow. Her academic appointments reflect her dedication to teaching within the field of Genetics and her involvement in the Genetics Institute at UCL. Elvira has also been recognized as a Senior Fellow by the Higher Education Academy in 2018.
