Emanuel Tutuc is a Professor holding the B. N. Gafford Professorship in the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his B.S. in Physics from École Normale Supérieure, University of Paris in 1997, followed by an M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1999 and a Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University in 2004. Before joining the faculty at The University of Texas at Austin in 2007, Dr. Tutuc held research positions at Princeton University and the I.B.M. T.J. Watson Research Center from 2004 to 2006. His current research focuses on the electronic properties of quantum confined systems, novel semiconductor materials and devices, and chemical vapor deposition. He has received distinguished awards including the DARPA Young Faculty Award in 2008 and the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2009.
