Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Emanuela Del Dottore. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Emanuela Del Dottore received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of Pisa. She earned her Ph.D. in Biorobotics from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, where her thesis focused on the elaboration and implementation of algorithms for control strategies in plant-inspired robotic systems. Her industrial research experience includes soft robotics, embedded systems, programming, kinematics, image processing, and data analysis. Her research primarily aims to formulate and implement control and decision-making strategies for bioinspired robots. In this context, she proposes, investigates, and validates behavioral hypotheses regarding movement and exploration strategies, as well as the emergence of high-level behaviors in living systems, from which she extracts novel rules of movement for biomimetic robotic systems. Emanuela is passionate about robotics, behavior analysis, swarm and collective behavior, and intelligent systems.
