Biography

Emil Wistrand Johansson is a Doctoral student specializing in public international law at Umeå University. His research focuses on issues related to accountability, cooperation in international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and human rights law. He began his doctoral studies in 2019, with a thesis that examines the new types of international mechanisms that contribute to accountability for serious international crimes and the collaborative role of states and international organizations as well as non-state actors.
