Dr. Emiliano Cristofaro

Biography

Emiliano De Cristofaro is a Professor at the University of California, Riverside, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He served as the Director of the Academic Center of Excellence in Cyber Security Research and was the Head of the Information Security Research Group at University College London. He obtained his PhD in Networked Systems from the University of California, Irvine, where he was advised by Gene Tsudik. His research interests primarily include impactful research in the Information Security field, with a recent focus on trustworthy machine learning and socio-technical issues on the web. Over the years, he has published in top-tier security conferences, including IEEE S&P, NDSS, CCS, and Usenix Security, as well as fields extending to ICML, NeurIPS, WWW, IMC, SIGMETRICS, and CSCW. Originally from Avellino, Italy, he enjoys traveling and is fluent in English, French, and Italian, with some knowledge of German, Spanish, and Persian.
