Dr. Emiliano Roia

Biography

Emiliano Roia is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia in the Discipline of Architecture. He has extensive experience in architectural design and education, having served in various academic roles since 2001, including at the University of Roma ‘La Sapienza’. Roia has also worked in significant design projects across Italy and Australia, demonstrating a strong commitment to both academic and professional excellence in architecture. His expertise in architectural practice encompasses a wide range of projects, from residential designs to larger commercial renovations. Roia is also a co-founder of MORQ*, an architectural firm based in Italy, contributing to a portfolio featuring notable residential and commercial works. Over his career, he has coordinated postgraduate courses in Product Design and Interior Design, reflecting his dedication to advancing architectural education. His research interests prominently include architectural design and architectural practice, focusing on blending academic insights with practical applications in the field.
