Biography

Emily Bilek is a board-certified Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Michigan. She is a Faculty Associate with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure response prevention. Her research primarily examines mechanisms and novel innovations in treatment and the dissemination and implementation of these treatments. She is particularly passionate about teaching and mentorship, supervising trainees in the Child OCD and Anxiety Disorders Program. Bilek is the principal investigator of the Advancing Community Competence Exposure Skills Strategies (ACCESS) lab, where she leads research aimed at improving therapeutic outcomes for children and adolescents suffering from emotional disorders. Her work is reflected in various publications and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about mental health among young adults.
