Emily is an Assistant Professor of Criminology at the University of Warwick, having joined in early 2023. Previously, she held academic positions at the universities of Edinburgh, Oxford, Keele, Sheffield, and Derby. Additionally, Emily is on the Editorial Board for the British Journal of Criminology and is involved as an academic advisor for the Youth Justice Board Network, as well as being a member of various criminological societies. Her published works address the societal perceptions of crime and the effects of political socialization on youth offending.
