Biography

Emily Hallowell, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist affiliated with the Providence VA Medical Center. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2020. Throughout her training, she completed a predoctoral internship and a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Brown University. Dr. Hallowell's clinical interests span the assessment of neurodegenerative conditions, cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI), movement disorders, and psychiatric functioning. Currently, she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University and is the didactic coordinator of the Clinical Neuropsychology Specialty Program. In her role, she supervises clinical neuropsychology interns and postdoctoral fellows within the Clinical Psychology Training Consortium of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Dr. Hallowell is also involved in teaching through lectures in a neuropsychology seminar series for residents. Furthermore, she is a member of the neuropsychology Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (JEDI) committee and the admissions committee, and participates in Brown University's Anti-Racism Communications Working Group.
