Biography

Emily Lester is a marine ecologist with a broad interest in coral reef ecology. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Geosciences and a member of the Thriving Oceans Research Hub. She leverages information to inform conservation strategies for marine ecosystems. Her particular interest lies in using a combination of direct and remote sampling to examine gradients of predator abundance created by human exploitation and its impacts on the function and resilience of coral reefs.
