Biography

Emily Leung is a part-time lecturer teaching the Client Counseling Simulation at Boston University School of Law. Currently, she serves as the Director of Immigration Advocacy at the Justice Center of Southeast Massachusetts, a subsidiary of South Coastal Counties Legal Services, where she provides civil legal aid to low-income individuals and families in Southeastern Massachusetts. In her role, Emily helps develop and implement immigration advocacy programs and works to advance and protect the rights of immigrants. Her systemic projects include drafting local ordinances, advocating for statewide legislation, and providing strategic litigation support, along with developing legal advisories and materials for immigrants and their advocates. Additionally, she oversees a team of immigration advocates who engage in direct representation, community education, outreach, and systemic advocacy. Before joining the Justice Center, Emily worked with various boutique immigration firms and non-profit organizations in the Boston area. She holds a JD from Boston University School of Law and an MA in International Relations from Boston University.
