Dr. Emily Li

Biography

Emily Li, M.D., is an oculoplastic reconstructive surgeon at the Wilmer Eye Institute, specializing in functional and cosmetic surgeries of the eyelids, forehead, and face. With extensive experience treating patients of all ages, Dr. Li performs surgeries related to the tear drainage system and eye socket, including endoscopic procedures. She has completed her undergraduate and medical education through the Brown University's eight-year combined baccalaureate-medical program and finished her ophthalmology residency at Yale University. Following this, she underwent subspecialty training by completing her fellowship at the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington. Her research interests include Curriculum Development, Orbital Trauma, and Surgical Techniques in Oculoplastics. She is board certified in Ophthalmology and actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
